7MS Presents: Square Stories

Hey Medina,

What’s Your Square Story?

What is Square Stories?

7MS Presents: Square Stories is a monthly bonus series featured within the 7 Minute Stories podcast feed, which has reached over 30 million listeners across platforms and connects with more than half a million people every 30 days. The series profiles real stories from Medina, Ohio, the hometown of storyteller Aaron Calafato, offering a deeper look at the people, places, and moments that shape the town. For listeners around the world, it’s a chance to experience Medina not just as a setting, but as a character, and to better understand the place from which so many of Aaron’s stories are drawn.

How to Submit Your Square Story

Please send us a short synopsis, one paragraph outlining the basic arc of your story.

As you write it, think in simple story beats:

• How did it begin?
• What happened?
• Why was it important?
• What changed because of it?

We especially love a true “Medina Core” memory, a story shaped by living here, loving someone who has, or carrying Medina with you. Stories where the Medina Square plays some role, even as quiet texture in the background, are preferred.

Focus on one clear moment or experience. It does not have to be dramatic. Small, ordinary moments often carry the most meaning.

If your story is selected, we’ll reach out with next steps. From there, we’ll schedule a brief interview to record your story, either for Aaron to narrate or to capture your voice and shape it into a produced episode. Once finalized, your story will be released during the calendar year on the 7 Minute Stories podcast feed as part of the Square Stories bonus series.

We are already receiving a strong number of submissions and will do our best to review each one carefully. We will only respond if we plan to move forward with your story. If you do not hear from us, please feel free to submit again in three months with an updated synopsis.

We cannot wait to read what the Square has meant to you.
