Several months ago, Aaron Calafato’s The Storytelling University began as a live lecture series streamed monthly on Riverside and shared with the public via YouTube and LinkedIn. But it’s no longer just a lecture it’s becoming something much bigger.
What began as a mission to share the craft of storytelling through live sessions has since evolved into a dynamic, multi-format series—one that not only teaches the philosophy and mechanics of storytelling but also explores its impact across disciplines. By inviting a diverse range of creative voices into the fold, The Storytelling University is becoming a living archive of how storytelling influences the way we communicate, lead, create, and connect.
Each episode of the interview series explores how a guest’s personal relationship with storytelling informs their expression—whether in film, writing, music, business, activism, or design. The result is a dynamic look at how storytelling fuels not just creative work, but meaningful impact.
Each month Calafato will stream live bi-weekly storytelling lectures in additional to these new monthly in-depth conversations.
Upcoming guests include Emmy-winning actor and mental health advocate Maurice Benard, award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, and acclaimed storyteller Shannon Cason, to name just a few.
Subscribe on YouTube to stay in the loop. This isn’t just about telling stories. It’s about understanding why they matter—and how to make yours count.
