Brett Anderson (Formerly of The Donnas) Joins Aaron Calafato in Conversation

by Brooks Borden - 7MS Editorial

Brett Anderson first broke through as the lead singer of The Donnas, the all-female rock band that helped shape the sound and attitude of the late 90s and early 2000s. Her voice, her presence, and the band’s energy left a mark on a whole generation of young musicians who were finally seeing something different and exciting onstage.

After years of touring and creating music that defined an era, Brett felt called to a different kind of work. Today she’s an Associate Clinical Social Worker and Gerontologist who’s rethinking aging, longevity, and mental health. Her focus is helping people and families navigate some of the most complex moments of life with clarity, compassion, and real support.

I sat down with Brett for a conversation for Storytelling University, and we covered so much about her path, her purpose, and the way she’s chosen to use her gifts now.

I’ll be releasing our full conversation as a bonus episode of The Storytelling University on the 7 Minute Stories feed this Sunday wherever you get your podcasts.
