This story traverses memory fragments of watching my daughter grow up over a period of 20 years. Each memory vignette of her is seen only through the rear-view mirror of my car. We begin with the day I drove her home from the hospital after she was born, and then, continue into an imagined future that has yet to arrive.
"From the moment I drove you home from the hospital something changed. I knew I would be your protector for the rest of my life."
